I see no sunlight.

with steady winds of autumn
the same tales again.

love is a dancer
to the heart’s speeding rhythms
it sways as you lead.

every single step
dusty roads and fallen grass
it all leads to you.
#4 of the Guitar Haiku Series by Az Samad
the one grasshopper
back to the same leaves again
the sun shines on you.

Harsh winds from last night
the moon and a thousand stars
no longer with us.
#2 of the Guitar Haiku series. Guitar Haiku #1 here.
Spring is upon us
the gentle sun and clear skies
my heart sings for you.
Welcome to my new series of Guitar Haikus that express different ideas of beauty on guitar!
This first one is a variant on the classic I-V chord progression using hybrid chords. With a bossa rhythmic feel, this can be a possible intro or vamp into a song in C. For single-line improvisation ideas, check out my lesson Hybrid Chords and the II-V-I Chord Progression on the William Jeffrey Jones Guitar Website.
Stay tuned for a new Guitar Haiku every Thursday!
